The West Java Covid-19 Response Acceleration Task Force, represented by the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil, received Sampoerna’s assistance for Indonesia in the form of 500 complete sets of PPE (Hazmat, protective goggles, face shield, N95 masks, gloves, and boots) at the Pakuan Building. Bandung, Wednesday (20/5/2020).
Ridwan Kamil likens the support delivered by Sampoerna as a tool to fight against COVID-19. “Without this assistance, the means of war (against Covid-19) are limited,” said the West Java Governor on the sidelines of the donation handover event.
Meanwhile, Sampoerna Foundation’s Head of External Relations Ishak Danuningrat said this assistance was a form of concern for the health emergency in West Java due to the Covid-19 pandemic. “We operate in East Java and West Java, we have a factory in Karawang, so for us West Java is our home too, that’s why we cooperate with the Task Force in West Java as well,” said Ishak.
“What we are doing in West Java is a form of our concern. We have a three-handed philosophy, one of which is to protect the public as a whole (social humanity), a party that involves other Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) experts to participate in this donation, namely the Smile for the Country Foundation.
