Prabumulih, Senyum Untuk Negeri – Around 30 youths in the PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PDSI) South Sumatra (SBS) area participated in a training entitled “independent youth skills” centered at the PDSI Bawang Kemang Office, since last Thursday (25/10). Representative of SUN Foundation, Tatang Somantri said, there are two focuses of Independent Youth Skills Training, namely,
AC (Air Conditioning) training and electric welding training. “This training is intentionally given to encourage youth entrepreneurship. In particular, youth around the PT PDSI SBS area. This time, there were 7 participants in AC training and 23 electric welding training,” said Tatang (26/10).

He continued, the aim of this training was to build youth entrepreneurship. The participants came from youth youth organizations from the kelurahan/villages around the company. “Indeed, electric welding training is more popular than AC training. This training lasts for two days. The first day is focused on training theory and the second day focuses on practice. “Essentially training here, so that young people really have expertise. Thus, encouraging him to be an entrepreneur with the training and tools provided,” he said.

He said, not only independent youth skills training, there was also a continuation of the prabumulih pineapple cultivation and processing program that had been carried out previously by the community around the company. “We are preparing pineapple management to start immediately. We are also carrying out a healthy living movement program, just launched at the Hidayatul Mubtabiin Islamic Boarding School recently,” he explained.

Area Manager of PT PDSI SBS, Danang Hermanto, represented by Asmen Sekuriti, Rony Ronfika, said the program was a form of the company’s contribution and concern for the surrounding area. “The theme of independent youth skills training was taken, because it coincided with the commemoration of the youth oath on October 28. We hope that young people around the company will have the skills to be independent. The tools provided are expected to be used properly so that entrepreneurial groups can immediately be formed,” he said. . This program is a form of PT PDSI’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. “So the benefits of the company’s existence continue to be felt,” he concluded. (mnc)
