Karawang, Senyumnegeri.or.id — PT Pertamina TBBM Cikampek through the organic management house program held a waste management training on Tuesday (10/4). This activity is a continuation of the training held on January 17, 2018. This follow-up training on organic waste management was held at the Al Mansyur Taklim Council, West Dawuan Village, Cikampek District, Karawang Regency. Attending the event, Mr. Arif represented Pertamina TBBM Cikampek.

Through this training, participants, the majority of whom are housewives, are taught how to simply manage organic waste from household waste.

Mr. Irpan, a waste management trainer who is an alumni of the Economics of Resources and Environment (ESL) study program at the Bogor Agricultural University, emphasized that organic waste management must start at the household scale. With a simple method organic waste can be managed into compost.

In addition to reducing the impact of environmental pollution due to odors caused by accumulated organic waste, compost from organic waste management can be used to green the surrounding environment.

The existence of an organic management house program as one of PT Pertamina TBBM Cikampek’s CSR programs, is one of the solutions for the West Dawuan community in managing waste.
